    Acetal is a tough thermoplastic material with high physical strength, rigidity and dimensional stability. Acetal rod is ideal for machining and is commonly used in white for food contact applications. It has a low water absorption and has a high resistance to a variety of chemicals.

    Nylon 6 rod has become the most well known engineering plastic due to its ease of machinability and many excellent properties. It combines high strength, stiffness with a good wear resistance and has a favourable electrical insulating ability which leads it to be a very capable and dependable plastic in many applications. It also has good heat ageing properties and is resistant to many oils , fuels, cleaning fluids and chemicals.

    Nylon 66 rod offers a higher mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and  wear resistance than the Nylon 6 rod. Nylon 66 can be used in food processing, automotive and fluid handling applications.

It can be easily machined and provides excellent electrical and heat resistance properties. Polycarbonate rod retains its stiffness over a wide range of temperatures and has a very good dimensional stability. Also Polycarbonate rod has good resistance to a majority of  inorganic chemicals, oils dilute acids/alkalis and also good weathering resistance.

    Polyethylene PE1000 - UHMWPE rod has a higher wear resistance and impact strength than PE300. As well as this UHMWPE has a high chemical resistance,  low moisture absorption properties and is extremely strong. PE1000 rod is FDA approved and can be fabricated and welded.

    Polypropylene is a tough, lightweight material with a good mechanical strength and has a high impact resistance that is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals. It can be fabricated including welded construction and is suitable for thermoforming. Polypropylene can become brittle at low temperatures but has good thermal and electrical properties. This is easily machined but can be difficult to bond.

    PTFE rod is a premium performance engineering plastic with excellent resistance to water, gases, oils, fuels and chemicals and is also very capable of operating at very high and low temperatures. PTFE rod has superb electrical insulating properties and a very low coefficient of friction and is often used in food contact applications. It can be difficult to bond and isn't suitable for wear application.
