Polyurethane Products

Sheet, Rod and Tube

Camthorne offer a full range of Sheet, Rod and Tube semi-finished goods. Hardnesses for 50 deg. A to 75 deg. D are available, and materials for most environments.

Custom Moulded

Polyurethane can be moulded into a wide variety of configurations. From the easiest to the most severe applications, a compound can be selected to meet your polyurethane needs. Common products moulded include: pump parts, rollers, vacuum suckers, scrapers, seals, protective gaiters, balls and cutting sleeves. Custom moulded parts and tooling can be designed in-house. Parts can be provided cast to size, die-cut, or machined finished depending on your needs.

Squeegee Blades

A critical aspect of screen printing is how well the squeegee can resist swelling when exposed to links and harsh solvents. Camthorne squeegees are available in a variety of polyurethane compounds formulated to perform in these environments. Epoxy, enamel, vinyl, and other solvent based inks are extremely harsh on squeegee blades. Inferior squeegee blades tend to swell and wear at an accelerated rate due to their inability to resist harsh solvents. Camthorne squeegees are recommended because of their chemical resistance and abrasion resistance when exposed to solvent content inks.

Camthorne squeegee blades are available in a multitude of profiles designed to meet the demands of your screen printing application. These profiles are moulded in a variety of compounds, and the correct selection will result in the most cost effective performance.

Valve Balls

Polyurethane check ball valves are used in pumps to improve pump performance and help pumps operate more quietly. Solid balls from 1" to 12" are commonly moulded with or without metal inserts, however other sizes can be moulded. Both polyurethane and inserts are selected to match performance demands with specific gravity needs. Hardnesses range from 80 deg. A to 75 deg. D. Balls can be furnished 'as cast' or 'precision ground' for more exacting requirments. A full range of valve seats and chevrons are available to suit the above.
