Glass rope lagging is manufactured from blown glass fibre core enclosed in a braided cover of glass yarn.
The fibres are inorganic, sterile and incombustible, they are resistant to oil, solvents and most chemicals and have a low level of leachable chlorides and fluorides.They are suitable fortemperatures up to 550c and have a low thermal conductivity.
Glass rope is available from 10mm dia upto 50mm dia and sold in 30mtr coils.

BRUSSELS (Feb. 3, 2012)—The European Union General Court has rejected appeals by DuPont Co., Dow Chemical Co., and Denki Kagaku Kogyo K.K. against fines imposed by the EU for their participation in a cartel to fix prices of polychloroprene rubber.
