Polypropylene rod is a tough, lightweight material with good mechanical strength, high impact resistance and is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals
It can be fabricated including welded construction and is suitable for thermoforming. Polypropylene can become brittle at low temperatures but has good thermal and electrical properties. It is easy to machine but can be difficult to bond. Applications include; Insulators, machining, chemical apparatus, water treatment components and hygienic cladding.
