While traditional rubber moulding can take weeks due to lengthy tooling processes, our in-house waterjet capabilities allowed us to bypass tooling entirely. We precisely cut the profiles from solid rubber stock and successfully delivered them within the customer’s strict two-day timeframe.
Manufactured using our waterjet cutting machine, this project highlights the machine’s ability to handle substantial thicknesses without compromising on accuracy. Cutting through 50mm of solid rubber presents unique challenges, particularly regarding edge concavity and maintaining tight tolerances. Traditional cutting methods often struggle to produce a completely perpendicular edge at this depth. However, our waterjet technology cuts cleanly through the material, executing the deep, semi-circular cut outs with straight edges.
